Clothes Closet
The RISD Council of PTAs Clothes Closet provides clothing for RISD students in need so they can feel comfortable, confident and ready to learn!
Last year, RISD Clothes Closet served over 625 kids and provided over 600 dresses for graduation and prom.
Students are referred for personal shopping appointments at the Clothes Closet by their school counselor or nurse. The Clothes Closet accepts donations of clothing, sizes 3T to adult XXL, that are lightly used and in style. Currently they are in need of backpacks as well as clothes. The Clothes Closet also accepts older clothing and textiles, but those should be placed in a separate bag labeled "World Wear" to save volunteers time. Be on the lookout for our donations box in the front entryway soon.
There are also opportunities to volunteer at the Clothes Closet. Sorters and personal shopping assistants are needed. Sign up below if you're interested.
